Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 July 2026
About these terms
Colourcat (colourcat.uk) is operated by Colourcat Limited (“Colourcat”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply whenever you use Colourcat, and by using the site or creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site.
How we handle your personal information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
What Colourcat is
Colourcat is a free fashion discovery service: we help you find clothing in the colours that suit you, drawing on product information supplied by retailers. We don't sell anything ourselves. When you click a “Buy Now” link you leave Colourcat for the retailer's own website, reaching it through an affiliate link that may earn us a commission — explained in full in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Your account
You don't need an account to browse Colourcat, but you do need one to save items, boards and shades. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old and give us accurate details. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we reasonably need to for security or legal reasons.
Your content
The things you create on Colourcat — your wishlist, your boards and their names, and your saved shades — belong to you. You give us permission to store them and show them back to you, which is all we need to run the service. Boards are currently private to your account. Please keep anything you write on Colourcat lawful and inoffensive; we may remove content that isn't.
Acceptable use
Colourcat is for your personal use. Please don't harvest or scrape our product data or colour matching in bulk, attempt to interfere with or overload the service, work around its security measures, or use it for anything unlawful.
Our content
The Colourcat name, the design of the site and our colour analysis and matching belong to Colourcat Limited. Product names, images and trade marks belong to the retailers and brands concerned and appear here so you can find their products. Nothing in these terms gives you any rights in either, beyond what you need to browse and use the site normally.
Products, prices and purchases
The products, prices, discounts and stock levels shown on Colourcat come from retailer data feeds and can occasionally lag behind the retailer's website or contain errors. Always check the final price and details on the retailer's site before buying.
When you buy something, your purchase — including payment, delivery, returns and your consumer rights — is a contract between you and the retailer, not with Colourcat. We are not responsible for retailers' websites, products or service.
Service availability
Colourcat is provided free of charge, as it is and as it is available. We work to keep it running smoothly, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features at any time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Beyond that, because Colourcat is a free discovery service, we are not liable for losses arising from inaccuracies in retailer product information, from your purchases from or dealings with retailers, or from the site being unavailable.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and will update this page and the date at the top when we do. If a change significantly affects account holders, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention. Continuing to use Colourcat after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the benefit of any consumer protections that apply where you live.
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of them still applies.
